Musical Theatre Summer Intensive
Join award-winning director & choreographer Rachel Bertone for a one-week musical theater intensive that will take your training and audition skills to the next level.
The classes offered will integrate technique with performance aspects to create a more polished audition package. Each day will consist of dance classes of various forms, audition workshops for singing and dance calls, mock auditions, and one-on-one coaching of songs or monologues. A professional accompanist will be provided as you receive personalized coaching on a song (or monologue) for future auditions.
The program is designed for performers seeking an in-depth analysis of their work within a safe and supportive environment. You will receive honest and constructive feedback and ideas on how to improve and hone your performance from professionals who regularly cast shows in the community. You will also have the opportunity to observe fellow classmates perform and receive feedback on their own songs/monologues.
In addition to deepening your performance and audition skills, you will learn numerous self-care tools and activities that will open your mind to new ways of learning and connecting to yourself and your work. Each day will begin with journaling, meditation or self-reflection to unwind from the workday and focus on the work (and play) ahead.
Not only will you gain more technical skills and self-confidence, but you will also connect with fellow artists who have similar goals. These positive connections can help you along your theatrical and artistic journey and hopefully broaden your networking within and beyond the Boston theater scene.

Intensive Details:
When: Monday July 27 through July 31 from 4:00-9:00pm
Where: Lyric Stage Company located at 140 Clarendon Street in Back Bay
Workshop Tuition: $750
Secure your spot with a $250 deposit, due within 24 hours of registration. The remaining $500 is due no later than July 1st. Payment plans available upon request.

*If you wish to pay your full tuition of $750 upfront, you will receive $50 off. Please note that this offer cannot be combined with the above special promotion.
Refund Policy: There are no refunds or transfers within two weeks the workshop for any reason, including but not limited to illness, injury, or personal emergencies. If you are unable to participate and need to cancel before two weeks of the workshop, you may receive a 50% refund of the total program. This will cover administrative costs and potential losses from the cancellation.
